Govt Announces Budget Allocation for Community Hospitals and Eye Care Institutions

May 29, Kathmandu - To enhance healthcare services, the government has announced budget allocations for community hospitals and specialized health institutions. During the presentation of the Fiscal Year 2083/084 budget statement in the Federal Parliament on Friday, Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle revealed that Dhulikhel Community Hospital and KIOCH- Kathmandu Children's Hospital, led by Dr. Bhagwan Koirala, will receive financial support.

The government aims to expand quality healthcare services, strengthen specialist care, and develop infrastructure at these institutions.

Additionally, the government has announced a tax exemption for the Tilganga Eye Institute to support lens production. Minister Wagle stated that this tax relief would boost the institute’s capacity to produce lenses domestically, facilitating affordable and high-quality eye care materials within the country.
