Opposition Parties Meet to Discuss Prime Minister's Statement

Jun 01, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe has called a meeting of opposition parties at the Congress Parliamentary Party office in Singha Durbar for noon.

Prime Minister Balendra Shah's secretariat has said that the meeting has been called to discuss the situation that has arisen after he said in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday that "Nepal has also encroached on India's land."

Leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (UML), Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Shram Sanskriti Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have been invited to this meeting called by leader Angdembe.

The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet at 1:00 pm today and the National Assembly at 1:15 pm. The main opposition party is holding this meeting to decide on a strategy by bringing all opposition parties together before the start of the parliament session.
