Tragic Rhino Attack in Chitwan Claims One Life

Jun 02, Kathmandu - A 56-year-old man, Kul Bahadur Chokhal of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-23, was killed in a rhinoceros attack today. 

According to Chitwan District Police Office spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandravansh Yadav, Chokhal was attacked by a rhinoceros while grazing cattle in the nearby Hariyali Community Forest.

The incident occurred as Chokhal went to the forest to collect fodder and did not return home. His body was later found along the banks of the Rapti River during a search operation. 

Police reports indicate that the victim’s leg appeared to have been bitten off by the rhinoceros. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
