Asian Games Qualifiers: Nepal to play Hong Kong for cricket title

Jun 07, Kathmandu - Nepal and Hong Kong are set to compete for the men's cricket title under the Asian Games qualifiers.

Hong Kong has secured a meeting with Nepal after defeating Malaysia by 6 wickets in the second semi-final on Sunday. The title clash will begin at 12:15 pm Nepali time on Monday. The match for third place will be between Malaysia and Oman on Monday itself. Nepal has qualified for the final by defeating Oman by 8 wickets.

Hong Kong achieved the moderate target of 115 runs set by Malaysia with 10 balls remaining, losing 4 wickets.

In the first semi-final held this morning, Nepal achieved the target of 95 runs set by Oman in 9.2 overs, losing 2 wickets.
