Revenue Collected from Traffic Enforcement in a Single Day: 2.192 Million

Jun 09, Kathmandu - In the last 24 hours, 2,392 drivers have been booked for violating traffic rules by the traffic police. This has earned the state treasury a revenue of Rs 2.192 lakh 500.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 92 people have been booked for consuming intoxicants, 171 for illegally sharing rides, 151 for violating traffic lights, and 145 for speeding.

Similarly, 56 people have been booked for not following lane discipline, 145 for honking in prohibited areas, 151 for parking vehicles on roadsides, 159 for driving on one-way streets, and 1,394 for not following other traffic rules.
