Call for Applications for the Position of Executive Director of the Citizens Investment Fund

Jun 25, Kathmandu - The Ministry of Finance has invited applications for the vacant post of Executive Director of the Citizens Investment Fund through an open competitive examination.

The Ministry has published a notice on Thursday (Asadha 11) inviting applications from interested Nepali citizens who meet the eligibility criteria.

Interested candidates have been asked to submit a confidential sealed application to the Financial Sector Management and Institution Coordination Division, Ministry of Finance, Singha Durbar within 21 days from the date of publication of the notice, i.e., on Ashar 11, 2083, during office hours.

To apply, candidates must have the qualifications and experience as per Section 42(1) of the Citizens Investment Fund Act, 2047. In addition, candidates must submit their educational qualifications, experience, a copy of their Nepali citizenship certificate, personal details, and two passport-sized photographs along with the application.

In particular, candidates must submit a business plan prepared in a sealed envelope not exceeding 5,000 words. Candidates who are shortlisted will also have to present the said plan.

The application fee is Rs 5,000, which should be deposited in the revenue account of the Singha Durbar branch of the Rastriya Banijya Bank and the original voucher should be submitted along with the application. The notice states that the monthly remuneration of the Executive Director and other service facilities will be as mentioned in the contract.

The ministry has warned that if false details or documents are submitted, the application will be cancelled and action will be taken as per the prevailing law. For more information in this regard, it has been requested to contact the ministry's website or telephone number.
