Samantha to Take Some Time off from Acting after Becoming a Mother

Jun 25, Kathmandu - South Indian film actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has confirmed that she is pregnant. After 6 months of marriage, she has informed that she is going to become a mother. Samantha and her husband Raj Nidimoru are preparing to welcome their first child.

Samantha made this happy news public at an event organized in Hyderabad on Wednesday to celebrate the success of her recently released film ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’. Talking to the media, she said that she will take a temporary break from films for some time to prioritize her health and family.

Samantha said, ‘After ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’, I will take a break for some time. Now I will have to take maternity leave. But I will not be away from my fans for long and will be back soon with a new film.’

Immediately after her announcement, the audience at the event applauded and congratulated her. Samantha expressed her gratitude to everyone and said that she has always received love and support from her fans.

Her husband Nidimoru was also present at the event. It is said that the happiness on Raj’s face was clear when Samantha told the news that she is going to become a mother. Earlier, after some videos were released on social media, there was talk of Samantha being pregnant, saying that she was showing a baby bump. Now, the actress herself has confirmed the news.

According to media reports, Samantha is in the early stages of pregnancy and is likely to give birth in December. Director Nandini Reddy has also expressed her happiness over Samantha's pregnancy, saying that this is a very beautiful time in her life and that the film has also achieved remarkable success during this period.

Looking at Samantha's personal life, she married South Indian actor Naga Chaitanya in 2017. The two separated in 2021. After that, there was a lot of talk about the relationship between Samantha and Raj Nidimoru for a long time. Finally, they got married on 1 December 2025 at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore.
