Gold Prices Show Slight Recovery After Sharp Drop, Silver Continues Decline in Nepali Market

Jun 26, Kathmandu - In the past three trading days, the price of gold has decreased by a total of 10,400 rupees, but on Friday, it experienced a modest rebound.

According to the Federation Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, the price of hallmark gold rose by 800 rupees per tola today, reaching 279,100 rupees. This comes after Thursday’s sharp decline of 5,200 rupees per tola, when the price fell to 278,300 rupees. The recent significant dip has been seen as a normal correction in the market.

Meanwhile, silver prices continue to fall without interruption. Today, silver decreased by 55 rupees per tola to settle at 4,180 rupees, following a 250-rupee drop on Thursday, when it declined to 4,235 rupees per tola.

Over the past few months, gold and silver prices have experienced extraordinary volatility. Notably, on Magh 15, gold surged by 20,500 rupees in a single day to reach an all-time high of 339,300 rupees per tola. Similarly, on Magh 18, silver saw its largest single-day decline of 1,565 rupees, while its highest recorded price was 7,550.5 rupees per tola on Magh 15.
