Jun 28, Kathmandu - India's Ministry of External Affairs has issued a special travel advisory for Indian citizens intending to undertake the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage via private tour operators.
The ministry recently received numerous requests for assistance and rescue from Indian nationals stranded in Nepal during their Kailash Mansarovar journey organized by private tour operators.
According to the Ministry, many of these travelers began their journey without the necessary visas and permits required for entry into China, leading to their being stranded in Nepal. Since they lacked the proper documents, they were unable to proceed into China, resulting in difficulties.
The advisory urges Indian travelers to ensure that all required visas, permits, and documents are secured before starting the pilgrimage. It also recommends verifying the legitimacy and credibility of the tour operators before purchasing travel packages to avoid any problems or getting stranded during the trip.
