Jun 28, Kathmandu - In a heartbreaking incident, two eight-year-old boys drowned while bathing at Simanpur-Harraiya Ghat along the Bagmati River in Gadhimai Municipality-1, Rautahat District, on Sunday. According to the District Police Office, Rautahat, the victims have been identified as Anikes Yadav and Aditya Yadav, both residents of Gadhimai Municipality-1.

Upon receiving the information, a five-member police team led by Deputy Inspector Muna Paswan from Simanpur Area Police Office was dispatched to the scene. The incident occurred as children, seeking relief from the intense summer heat, entered the river without knowing its depth, leading to their untimely demise.
