NCP Expands Central Departments to 47 in Major Reshuffle

Jul 03, Kathmandu - The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has increased the number of central departments to 47. The decision was made during a virtual Central Committee meeting held on Asadha 15, where the party's 2023 statutes now officially establish 47 central departments.

Previously, the former CPN Maoist Centre and the United Socialist Party had 32 and 32 departments respectively. Amid ongoing debates about reducing the number of departments, the NCP has instead decided to expand by adding 15 more. The new statutes also clearly specify responsibilities for party leaders.
