Actress and Director Deepashree Niraula Successfully Undergoes Brain Tumor Surgery in Kathmandu

Jul 12, Kathmandu - Renowned actress and director Deepashree Niraula has successfully undergone brain tumor surgery at Annapurna Neuro Hospital in Kathmandu. She is currently receiving treatment at the hospital after being admitted a few days ago upon experiencing health issues.

Following the successful operation, actor and producer Deepak Raj Giri shared an update on her health on social media. According to Giri, Niraula was diagnosed with a brain tumor while filming a movie. The team was initially uncertain about the next steps, but medical advice emphasized the urgency of immediate surgery.

Giri mentioned that although there were suggestions to fly her to India for treatment, a decision was ultimately made to perform the surgery locally under the leadership of senior neurosurgeon Dr. Basanta Panta.

“Last week was incredibly challenging for us. During the shoot, Deepashree was diagnosed with a brain tumor. We were in doubt and had to act quickly. Although advice was to go to India, we chose to proceed with the surgery here in Nepal, and thanks to divine blessing, the operation was successful,” Giri stated.

He further added that Niraula has been transferred from ICU to the general ward and is recovering well. Giri expressed gratitude for the prayers and wishes from fans, well-wishers, and medical staff involved in her treatment, praying for her swift recovery.
