President Poudel Meets Leader of Main Opposition, Discuss Political Stability and Disaster Relief Efforts

Jul 27, Kathmandu - President Ram Chandra Poudel held a meeting with Bishwa Raj Angdebe, leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party and main opposition leader, at Shital Niwas on Monday.

The nearly one-hour discussion focused on the current political situation, the role of Parliament, and parliamentary activities, according to Angdembe’s secretariat. During the meeting, Angdembe briefed the President on recent floods and landslides across various regions of the country, along with the status of affected citizens, rescue efforts, relief, and rehabilitation initiatives.

President Poudel emphasized the importance of maintaining political stability by making Parliament effective and prioritizing necessary legislation. He also highlighted the need for coordination and cooperation among all political parties and stakeholders in rescue, relief, and reconstruction efforts for disaster-affected populations.
