Jul 27, Kathmandu - As the monsoon month of Shrawan begins, the Nepali film "Gauthali" has made a strong entry into theaters, maintaining an aggressive performance at the domestic box office.

By the tenth day of its release, "Gauthali" has amassed a gross revenue of over NPR 7.42 crore, positioning itself as one of the most successful Nepali films of the year.  

According to official data released by the Film Development Board through the "CinePah: Box Office" system, the film, which opened on Shrawan 1, has collected NPR 7,42,73,859.14 within ten days.  

As the film enters its second week, audience turnout remains impressive. Ticket sales across the country have reached approximately 260,254, with viewers flocking to both multiplexes and single-screen cinemas.  

Notably, "Gauthali" grossed over NPR 1.65 crore on its second Saturday alone, marking the highest single-day earning for any Nepali film this year.  

The momentum continued on Sunday, with the film earning nearly NPR 1.5 crore, demonstrating sustained commercial success. Industry experts anticipate that "Gauthali" will continue to hit higher box office milestones in the coming days.

Based on current earnings, "Gauthali" has become the second highest-grossing Nepali film of the year, behind "Lalibazar." Given its rapid pace, it is highly likely to surpass the NPR 10 crore mark within this week, solidifying its position as the top film of the year.
