Aug 04, Kathmandu - Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Member of Parliament Rajunath Pandey has clarified that the expansion of the Bagmati Corridor in Gokarna was carried out in coordination with the Nepali Army.

In a press release, Pandey explained that during the corridor expansion, there was a brief lack of communication with an army officer, which led to some delays. However, he emphasized that the expansion was ultimately executed in collaboration with the army.

He stated that, in response to local residents’ demands during the election campaign, authorities including Bagmati, and Nepal Trust were coordinated with, utilizing bulldozers to open the road.

Pandey mentioned that upon realizing the presence of a Nepali Army unit at the site, responsibility was assigned to the chairman of the empowered Bagmati authority to ensure proper coordination.

He also noted that a slight delay was experienced due to a few minutes of miscommunication, but reaffirmed that the corridor was opened in cooperation with the Nepali Army. Pandey urged the public not to be misled by rumors suggesting any anger from the army.

Highlighting the army’s respect for citizens’ sovereignty and its significant contribution to national service, Pandey expressed his unwavering respect for the Nepali Army, patriotism, and the uniform.
