Aug 09, Kathmandu - In a major move to alleviate the ongoing gas shortage in Pokhara, authorities have announced the distribution of 10,000 gas cylinders today. The Kaski District Administration Office has also arranged to sell gas through grocery stores starting this Friday, aiming to make supply more accessible to consumers.
Several gas companies are preparing to send large quantities to Pokhara, including over 3,000 cylinders from Grihalaxmi Gas, 2,500 from Shakti Gas, and more than 1,000 each from Baba, Janaki, and Nepal Gas.
Since the beginning of the Nepali month of Shrawan, gas shortages have persisted, forcing consumers to wait in long lines for hours to procure the vital commodity.
