Ukraine Conducts Nightlong Drone Attack on Belarusian City of Belgorod, 5 Dead and Several Wounded

Aug 09, Kathmandu - Ukraine launched a nightlong drone attack on the city of Belgorod in Russia, resulting in the deaths of five civilians, according to Russian officials. Initially, three fatalities were reported, along with 25 injuries, including two children. The death toll has since risen to five.

Acting Governor of Belgorod Region, Alexander Shuvaev, stated that the attack caused fires in two residential buildings and inflicted extensive damage on both residential and non-residential structures. 

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed to have destroyed over 150 Ukrainian drones across various regions of Europe, including Crimea, the Black Sea, and the Azov Sea.

In the Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk, where Russian authorities reported debris from the drones falling on two structures, Mayor Andrey Kravchenko mentioned that the purpose of these structures remains unclear. According to local emergency services, three residential buildings sustained damage, and one person was injured.
