Foreign Minister Extends Warm Wishes to India on 80th Independence Day, Reaffirms Strong Bilateral Ties

Aug 14, Kathmandu - Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has extended heartfelt greetings to India on the occasion of its 80th Independence Day. In a message addressed to Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, the Government of India, and the friendly Indian people, Khanal expressed best wishes for the celebrations.

He highlighted the deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between Nepal and India, emphasizing the close people-to-people contact and multifaceted partnership shared by the two nations. Khanal expressed confidence that the warm relations, friendship, and mutual cooperation between Nepal and India will continue to strengthen in the days ahead.
