Nepali Film ‘Khoj Talas’ Unveils Poster at US Event; Set for UK Premiere and Nepal Release

Aug 22, Kathmandu - The poster for the Nepali film ‘Khoj Talas,’ produced by Yalli Wood Films Pvt. Ltd., has been unveiled at a special event in New York, United States. The occasion was attended by notable figures including State Member Steven Raga, director Kishor Subba, businessman and social worker Keshavram Rai, dance director Govinda Rai, General Secretary Suman Thamsuhang of the Indigenous Peoples Federation of America, President Puran Limbu of the Kirat Yakthung Chumlung America, President Basanti Rai of the Nepali Artists Union in America, and others, who jointly released the poster.

Directed and written by Dinesh Lingden, ‘Khoj Talas’ explores contemporary political and social issues faced by the nation. The film features performances by a talented cast including Rudra Pahim, Pushpanjali Limbu, Rajkumar Shah, Shailendra Nalbo, Bimala Khajum, Sharmila Sharma, Rohan Senchuri, Purn Seling, Pooja Giri, Yasilee Yonghang, Sagar Kerung, Dilip Yonghang, Raju Ghimire, Tesh Manyangbo, and Bimal Dungel.

Produced by Shailendra Nalbo, the film’s soundtrack is composed by Bikas Choudhary, with vocals by Rajesh Payal Rai, Mechu Dhimal, and Subash Rai. The fight choreography is by Kumar Maharjan, dance sequences by Kamal Rai, and cinematography by Heman Yonjan.

According to director Dinesh, ‘Khoj Talas’ is soon set to have its premiere in the UK, with producer Shailendra Nalbo already there for the event. The film is scheduled for release in Nepal in Fagun (February/March), with the exact date to be announced shortly.
