Aug 25, Kathmandu - Five people, including the driver, were injured when a jeep collided with a city safari vehicle near the Armed Police Barracks on the East-West Highway in Pakali, Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-17.

The accident occurred on Tuesday when a city safari with license plate Pra 1–02–004 Ha 4247, heading towards Jhumpa from Itahari, was hit by a jeep coming from the same direction.

Those injured in the crash include Chandralal Chaudhary, 48, of Itahari-4, the safari driver; Bhima Pariyar, 72, of Sunsari’s Morang; Pranish Sunar, 9, also of Morang; Prinka Sonam, 30; and her 14-year-old daughter Prinsa Sonam.

The injured are receiving treatment, and authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
