Death Toll in Devastating Floods reaches 16, 36 Injured

Aug 26, Kathmandu - Sixteen people have died and 36 have been injured in a severe flood that hit the Trishuli River in Rasuwa from the Tibetan side.

According to the Bagmati Province Police Office at 3:45 pm on Wednesday, one person died in Rasuwa, nine in Nuwakot and six in Dhading due to the flood.

According to the police, seven women and eight men are among the deceased, while the identity of one person has not been revealed.

Similarly, the police said that 36 people injured in the flood have been rescued. Among those rescued, 13 are from Rasuwa, 19 from Nuwakot and three from Dhading.
