Aug 27, Kathmandu - In response to the recent flooding in Nepal's Bhotekoshi River that damaged several bridges and disrupted transportation, India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal announced plans to send bail bridges to Nepal.
During a press conference on Thursday, Jaiswal stated, “We are working to send bail bridges to Nepal.” He did not specify how many bail bridges India is preparing to send.
Jaiswal also mentioned that India has been dispatching relief materials and bail bridges to Nepal upon request. To date, India has sent a total of 47.5 tons of relief supplies in two shipments.
