Aug 27, Kathmandu - Recent devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River has claimed the lives of 359 individuals, with their bodies now recovered across various districts.

According to the latest figures from Nepal Police, the recovered bodies have been collected from multiple regions, including 17 in Rasuwa, 33 in Dhading, 30 in Gorkha, 2 in Nawalparasi East, 2 in Nuwakot, 132 in Chitwan, 22 in Tanahun, and 15 in Nawalparasi West.

The disaster has also resulted in the disappearance of 28 police personnel, who are currently unaccounted for. 

In response, a massive search and rescue operation has been launched, involving 4,348 police officers. 

Additionally, 63 individuals injured in the flood are receiving treatment at various hospitals in Kathmandu.
