Aug 27, Kathmandu - India has delivered a second batch of emergency supplies totaling 37.5 tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) material, essential medicines, and food packets to support Nepal’s ongoing flood relief operations.

Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, announced the delivery via X, confirming that the relief consignment was handed over to Mahabir Pun, Nepal's Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation.

"A helping hand from India. The second consignment of 37.5 tonnes of HADR material, medicines and food packets has been handed over to Mr. Mahabir Pun, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation to support Nepal’s flood relief and rescue efforts. India remains committed to standing by Nepal and its people," Jaiswal stated.

This second delivery builds on the initial 10-tonne consignment sent earlier by India, bringing total aid sent so far to 47.5 tonnes. The prompt assistance underscores India's commitment to supporting Nepal through severe natural challenges under its "Neighbourhood First" policy.
