Aug 28, Kathmandu - In the aftermath of the flooding caused by the Bhotekoshi River on Bhadra 10, a total of 121 foreign nationals have been successfully rescued, according to the Nepal Tourism Board. The flood, which struck Rasuwa district, left many individuals uncontactable.

The rescued foreigners include 85 from India, 16 from China, 9 from South Korea, 2 from the United States, 2 from Russia, 2 from Italy, 1 from Bulgaria, 1 from Switzerland, and 3 with unspecified nationalities.

Initially, 540 foreign nationals went missing following the flood, along with 127 Nepali nationals they were traveling with. The majority of the uncontacted individuals are from India, with 178 missing, followed by 65 from the United States.
