Nepal CAN Group to provide Rs 1 million in assistance to flood victims, distribute relief materials

Aug 31, Kathmandu - Nepal CAN Group has provided Rs 1 million for the relief and rehabilitation of families affected by the recent devastating floods in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and other areas.

Nepal CAN Group has contributed Rs 1 million to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. The amount has been provided with the aim of supporting the relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the floods.

The group has paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the floods and expressed its condolences to the bereaved families. It has also expressed sympathy for the families and communities affected by the disaster.

Along with the cash assistance, Nepal CAN Group has also prepared to provide essential items including food, clothing, medicine and other items to the affected families in immediate need. The group has stated that it is preparing to directly distribute these items to the identified families by the end of this week.

Stating that standing with the community in times of disaster is an important part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the group has stated that its priority is to effectively provide assistance to the families in need of relief.

The Nepal CAN Group has stated that it will continue to assess the situation and needs of the flood-affected areas and decide on the possibility of additional assistance for relief and rehabilitation in the coming days.

The group has also urged government agencies, organizations, the private sector, and citizens to come together to help the flood-affected families according to their capabilities and possibilities in this difficult time of disaster.
