Sep 04, Kathmandu - Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the coordinator of Nepal’s Communist Party and a former Prime Minister, has expressed concern over the current state of the country’s politics, civil service, and various state bodies, describing them as being in a state of confusion.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Saturday, Prachanda commented on the current government’s approach, stating that while his party would support and cooperate with good initiatives, it would clearly oppose and criticize any wrongdoings.

Analyzing recent political developments, the former Prime Minister urged political leaders, civil servants, and civil society to act with greater seriousness and responsibility toward the nation and its people.

“Currently, it seems that Nepali politics, civil service, and state institutions are somewhat confused. From the beginning, we have said, ‘Support good work, oppose bad work.’ We have maintained this stance in all sectors, but the symptoms of confusion are not diminishing,” Prachanda stated.

He emphasized the importance of safeguarding the country’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, calling for unity among all parties to protect the democracy and freedom achieved through long struggles.

“However, political leadership, civil servants, and citizens must work with greater seriousness and responsibility towards the nation,” he added. “The most important thing is the nation itself. We all need to focus on safeguarding our sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the democracy and independence we have fought hard to achieve.”
