Sep 12, Kathmandu - U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed that he has no regrets about his decision to initiate a war against Iran, regardless of the potential impact on the upcoming midterm elections in November.

Trump emphasized that, even if he were to make the decision again, he would not hesitate to do so, dismissing the notion of regret. “You can always question yourself a little,” he stated, “but I believe in the decisions I make.”

The former president also dismissed claims that the war has disappointed or discouraged his supporters. According to Trump, his supporters take pride in his efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

He reiterated his confidence that the conflict would conclude shortly after the midterm elections. Trump accused Iran of attempting to influence the election and suggested that such attempts could affect the Republican Party’s control of Congress.

The ongoing tensions with Iran have also become a key issue in the elections, especially amid rising oil and gas prices. The conflict escalated after the U.S. and Israel launched an attack on Iran on February 28, to which Iran responded with retaliatory measures.
