KMC Seeks Central Government Approval to Expand Parking at Nepal Airlines Corporation Building in Neurond

Sep 13, Kathmandu - Kathmandu Metropolitan City has applied to the federal government for permission to construct a multi-level parking facility at the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) building in Neurond. The move aims to address the escalating parking issues in the area.

Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol emphasized the importance of efficient utilization of limited space to solve the parking crisis. "Parking problems are increasing day by day. Besides managing the existing spaces effectively, we have no other options. Given our limited area, proper utilization of available land is essential," she stated.

Dangol further explained that the city has requested permission from the federal government to proceed with the construction of the multi-level parking lot at the NAC building. She highlighted that instead of seeking new land, optimal use of the current available space is crucial for effective parking management.

With increasing urban congestion, Kathmandu Metropolitan City is committed to implementing more organized and sustainable solutions to the parking problem, Dangol assured.
