Sep 18, Kathmandu - In a recent cabinet meeting, the Government of Nepal has recommended 13 individuals for diplomatic appointments as ambassadors to 13 different countries. The selected candidates bring a wealth of experience in various fields, including research, leadership, and sector-specific expertise.

The proposed ambassadors will now undergo parliamentary scrutiny. Following the completion of the parliamentary review, the names will be forwarded to the respective countries for approval. Once the credentials are received, the President will officially appoint the ambassadors.

Among the recommended names are Dr. Nishchala Nath Pandey for India, Dr. Kalyanraj Sharma for China, Chiranjung Thapa for the United States, and former Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shamsher JBR for the United Kingdom.

Other appointees include Jigyan Kumar Thapa for Japan, Suresh Kumar Karn for Israel, Prapti Sherchan for Spain, Sharu Joshi for Germany, Dr. Padmakshi Rana for Oman, and Chudamani Kharal for Malaysia.

Additionally, Professor Sangam Shrestha has been proposed for South Korea, Dr. Manjhal Jha for Sri Lanka, and Giri Bahadur Sunar for Saudi Arabia.
