Sep 22, Kathmandu - Nepal's performance at the 20th Asian Games underway in Yokohama, Ichihara, Japan, has yet to see significant improvement as the fourth day progresses.

As of now, Nepal has not secured any medals. On Tuesday, the women's karate team narrowly missed out on a medal. In the Katha event, Chinese Taipei defeated Nepal 5-0 to claim the bronze medal. Nepal's team members included Sanumaya Theeng, Alisha Raskoti Magar, and Megha Limbu.

In boxing, Nepal's Ramisha Shrestha faced defeat in the 51kg category, losing 5-0 to Vietnam’s Nguyen in the first round.

In kabaddi, the men's team suffered a setback against Pakistan, losing 58-43 in Group B. However, the women’s team secured a thrilling victory over Thailand with a score of 46-43.

In table tennis, Nepali duo Ruvin Maharjan and Ivana Thapa triumphed over Pakistan's Muhammad Khan and Kaslüm Khan, winning in straight sets with scores of 11-6, 11-8, and 11-4.

Nepal continues to strive for its first medal at the ongoing Asian Games, with hopes high for upcoming events.
