Sep 26, Kathmandu - Prime Minister Balendra Shah has returned to Kathmandu on Saturday after attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where he represented Nepal in high-level meetings and discussions.

Shah landed at Tribhuvan International Airport earlier in the day. He had departed for the United States on Tuesday evening, marking his first overseas trip as prime minister.

Addressing the General Assembly on September 24, Shah described Nepal’s recent Bhotekoshi–Trishuli floods and landslides as a serious warning of the climate crisis. He urged the international community to take concrete steps toward climate justice.
