Sep 28, Kathmandu - Nepal’s benchmark NEPSE index fell 16.47 points, or 0.62%, to close at 2,613.33 on Tuesday.
According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the Sensitive Index, which tracks large companies, declined 1.34 points to 467.67. The Float Index dropped 1.11 points to 180.07, while the Sensitive Float Index fell 0.48 points to 157.88.
A total of 13.18 million shares changed hands in 5.39 billion rupees’ worth of transactions.
Of the 13 sectoral indices, only the trading group advanced, gaining 0.23%. The other 12 sectors closed lower.
NEPSE reported that share prices rose for 49 companies and fell for 224, while six remained unchanged.
KBL Debenture, Laxmi Sunrise Debenture and Prime Bank Debenture were among the top gainers. Hathaway Investment Nepal, Emerging Nepal and Global IME Balanced Fund were among the biggest losers.
