Oct 08, Kathmandu - Minister for Education and Sports and Pro-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, Sasmit Pokharel, has directed the office bearers to follow the academic calendar of Tribhuvan University compulsorily.

Speaking on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Tribhuvan University, he said that entrance examinations, admissions, study-teaching, examinations and publication of results should be done on time. He said that if the calendar is affected, the reasons and the time frame for improvement should be made public.

Minister Pokharel said that how much a student has learned in the examination should be measured rather than how much he wrote. He said that the university should prioritize research and innovation and emphasize on producing practical, creative and problem-solving human resources.

He stressed the need to move forward with university reforms by keeping students at the center and using new technologies including artificial intelligence responsibly.
