Nepal, South Africa Discuss Stronger Ties and Climate Cooperation

Oct 13, Kathmandu - South Africa’s non-resident ambassador to Nepal, Prof. Anil Sooklal, met with Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday to discuss strengthening bilateral relations.

The two sides exchanged views on expanding economic and investment cooperation, promoting South-South cooperation, and reinforcing multilateralism, the ministry said.

They also discussed the impact of the recent devastating floods in Nepal. Both emphasized the need to amplify the voices of climate-vulnerable countries in international forums and strengthen global cooperation to address climate change.
