April 10, Kathmandu - The departmental team APF has won the title of Laitpur Mayor Cup Women's T20 Cricket Championship. In the final match played at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Saturday, APF won by eight wickets against Far Western Province.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Far West scored 107 runs for the loss of seven wickets. APF reached the target of 107 runs with 23 balls to spare in the loss of two wickets.
Opener Jyoti Pandey and Captain Sita Rana Magar shared 69 runs for the victory of APF. Captain Magar added 27 runs. Similarly, Pandey scored 36 runs. Both players were run out.Indu Burma and Mamata Chaudhary added 19 and 15 runs respectively.
Far-Western Bindu Rawal top-scored with 43 runs while Dolly Bhatta scored 14 runs. Similarly, Revati Dhami and Kavita Kunwar scored 10 and 13 runs respectively. In the final, Sunita Lohar was out for zero while Kavita Joshi was out for 3, Ritu Naujia for 4 and Manju Bogati for 3. Khadka remained unbeaten after adding one run.
Rekha Rawal, Karuna Bhandari, Susma Shrestha, Sita Rana Magar and Bindu Bohara took equal 1-1 wickets for APF. APF has won a cash prize of Rs 300,000 including the title while runner-up Sudurpaschim has won a cash prize of Rs 150,000.
