Qadri Nominated As Vacant Proportional Member Of UCPN (Maiost)

May 13, Kathmandu-In Province 2, Pashmina Qadri has been nominated as the vacant proportional member of the CPN-Maoist Center.

A Muslim quota member of the UCPN (Maoist) was sacked after joining the CPN-UML. Qadri has been nominated for the vacant post, said Bharat Prasad Sah, leader of the parliamentary party of UCPN-M.

Sah said that he was nominated as a member of the state assembly in place of Mohammad Sameer.

The nominated member of the state assembly has even taken oath as a member of the state assembly today. Qadri was sworn in by the Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Province 2, Saroj Kumar Yadav. Qadri was nominated a month after the resignation of state assembly member Sameer.

Qadri of Parsa district is the leader of All Nepal Women's Association Krantikari. After the CPN-UML and the CPN-Maoist split after the Supreme Court's decision, four members of the CPN-Maoist joined the CPN-UML.

The UCPN-M had sacked Ram Chandra Mandal, Jwala Sah, Kundan Prasad Kushwaha and Mohammad Sameer. Apart from Sameer, the other three members of the state assembly were elected as members of the state assembly through direct election system.
