May 22, Kathmandu- Senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the President and the Prime Minister have falsified the constitution and democracy by dissolving the House of Representatives even though the parties have given the option of the Prime Minister with a majority.

He said that he would fight a political and legal battle against the decision of the President and the Prime Minister to dissolve the House of Representatives.

Poudel clarified that the party office bearers' meeting will decide what kind of fight to fight and how to protest. He said that a meeting of Nepali Congress office bearers and former office bearers was convened at the residence of President Sher Bahadur Deuba at Budhanilkantha at 9 am on Saturday.

Poudel said that the Congress, along with other parties, would unite to oppose the anti-constitutional work of the President and the Prime Minister.

"This decision was taken by the President at midnight on the recommendation of the Prime Minister. It is illegal for the Prime Minister to dissolve the House. It is illegal for the Prime Minister to dissolve the House of Representatives even under Manmohan Singh.", He said, "It is a criminal act to do so. "

He said that legal and political battles would be fought with the parties to reverse the decision as it was a fraud on the constitution and democracy.
